SESSION WORK

In our work together, the counseling aspect will help you to understand the why and the coaching area is about your action plan of how.

In the process of our career counseling and coaching together, the objectives include:

  • Analyzing your current and prospective work situation

  • Understanding your strengths and areas for improvement

  • Navigating company and interpersonal politics

  • Recognizing and promoting your innate and developed skills

  • Communication capability with individuals and groups

  • Presentation skills development

  • Strategy and goal planning for short/long term

  • Situational coaching relating to your current job issues

Something important to add is that the work we do is based on you, the specifics of your situation, and what you are trying to achieve.  Mentoring and empowering have always been very rewarding for me and the ability to recognize an individual’s talents beyond the present and into what the potential is, is an enormously powerful element within our work.  So, If this process strikes a cord with you, please contact me for a confidential and candid dialog to explore the dynamics fit and see if my experience, skills, and approach would benefit you in your career.

APPROACH

Careers span decades and will have at least one starting phase, middle climb, and finish, but more often than not, we will have many new beginnings, middles, and endings along the way. There will be successes and failures, boom times and lean ones, great bosses and shitty bosses, and those times we are finally the boss...and then aren’t anymore.

Our professional life usually ranks in first or second place for us in determining how we feel about ourselves and may well be the very thing we feel defines us.  No matter whether we view this as being good or bad, it just is, and in contemporary society, career is important. Very important.  It is also very challenging and competitive, so seeking to improve your position and have better professional satisfaction while achieving your professional goals is not only a good idea, it’s prudent.

My experience is extensive, over 35 years, encompassing tech, manufacturing, finance, entertainment, and professional services.  The functional aspects include sales, marketing, brand development, and operations, with job functional roles ranging from the junior newbie, to manager, VP, and senior executive/ownership.  Boutique environments and large corporate structures are both familiar to me, as are the accolades of success so often combined with the overcoming of setbacks we all face at some point.

Bu understanding and improving work interactions and relationships with others, your ability to be recognized sill increase and your career will advance more rapidly.
