Reefs for Life is a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing restorative reef projects in ecologically battered parts of the world.
This Mission of Reefs for Life is to Transform Communities Through:

Empower local women, children, and fishermen
Hold community-wide educational events, including films
Start social enterprises that provide alternative livelihoods
Establish a peoples’ organization to manage the MPA

RESTORATION
Employ Biorock technology to create new reefs
Preserve biodiversity by re-introducing lost species
Provide habitat for fish and invertebrates to multiply

PROTECTION
Install radar system to track illegal fishing boats
Provide speed boat for law enforcement to patrol
CCTV for enhanced evidence collection and monitoring

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Established 6 new Marine Protected Areas in Caramoan in 2015
Developed a trained team of local divers in Coral Reef Restoration
Trained a local Coral Reef Restoration Project Manager
Started and maintained a 100 member volunteer organization
Project Managers were certified in Biorock Reef Restoration technology and Reef Check Monitoring
Constructed 4 artificial reefs (15 structures total) in 2 different towns
Constructed a guard station for enforcement of the Marine Protected Area
